We are so excited to welcome everyone to Ottawa! If you are coming from outside of Canada, here is where you can find information about entering Canada.
Most Costa Rican citizens require a visa to enter Canada, however some travelers may only require an electronic travel authorization (eTA) if certain requirements are met. Please learn about entry requirements before your trip here.

OTTAWA MACDONALD-CARTIER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YOW)
If you are flying in or out of Ottawa, you will need to travel through YOW airport. These airlines operate out of the Ottawa airport.
Getting To & From the Airport
Uber or Taxi: Taxis are available immediately outside of the arrivals area of the airport. It takes approximately 20-25 minutes to get to locations in Downtown or Centretown and costs approximately $40 CAD.
By O-Train: Getting downtown from the train station takes approximately 1 hour by O-Train with transfers at South Keys Station and Bayview Station. For schedules and routes you can use OC Transpo’s trip planner. Both Google Maps and Apple Maps are also reliable for transit schedules and route planning, but may not have the latest information about route changes or closures. You can tap your credit card to pay to get into any train station or once you get on a bus.
VIA RAIL TRAIN STATION
The train station is located about 10 minutes by car from downtown at 200 Tremblay Road Ottawa, ON, K1G 3H5.
If you’re planning on exploring more of Canada before or after our wedding, VIA Rail is a great option for getting to other Canadian cities. Ottawa is approximately a 5-hour train ride from Toronto, and only 2 hours from Montréal.
Getting To & From the Train Station

GETTING AROUND
Uber is a great option for getting around the city.
